Serve It Up | WTA Finals Brunch
New York, United States
On a memorable day celebrating unity and excellence, Black Girls Tennis Club partnered with TOGETHXR and the WTA to host a delightful brunch event to watch Coco Gauff claim victory at the WTA Finals. Witnessing a young Black woman compete fiercely for the championship and ultimately secure the largest purse in the history of women's professional tennis was truly inspiring. Coco’s triumph served as a powerful reminder of our worth and potential.
As guests arrived at Albert’s Bar in Manhattan, they were warmly welcomed with stunning gift bags filled with surprises, including a vibrant tennis ball-themed shirt courtesy of TOGETHXR, along with fun friendship bracelets that captured the spirit of the day. The atmosphere was lively and filled with excitement, as attendees enjoyed a delicious spread of food provided by Albert’s Bar while mingling with fellow BGTC members from the New York area.
The event was more than just a brunch; it was an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and uplift one another as a community. The highlight of the day, of course, was Coco Gauff’s incredible victory, which felt like the perfect cherry on top of an already iconic gathering.
Together, Black Girls Tennis Club, TOGETHXR, and the WTA created a space where Black women could come together, celebrate their achievements, and inspire one another to reach for greatness, reminding us all that we are capable of extraordinary things.
