AC has been a coach with Black Girls Tennis club since our first clinic in 2022.
LEONDRA HEAD

Leondra joined BGTC in 2024. She is ecstatic to be involved in a tennis community in Hampton Roads. Leondra played tennis in high school in Sharpsburg, GA and for Hampton University’s club (intramural) tennis. She is a 2018 Hampton University graduate and from Newnan, GA. She's lived in Hampton Roads for 3 years now. When Leondra is not playing tennis on the weekends, you can catch her on WTKR News 3’s during the week where she reports on the latest crime and breaking news.

Lashay has been an assistant coach with Black Girls Tennis club since 2024.
ALYSSA PORTEE

Alyssa resides in New York City and currently serves as a Coach with Black Girls Tennis Club. She learned to play tennis at age 6, participated in USTA tournaments across Southern California and played Varsity tennis for her high school team. Alyssa loves her career in sales, spending time on the courts, traveling, trying new restaurants and hanging out with friends and family.
BRITTANY HALL

Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Brittany Hall brings her passion for community health, education, and tennis to Black Girls Tennis Club. An alum of both Norfolk State University and Eastern Virginia Medical School, Brittany is deeply committed to supporting the Hampton Roads community, both through her work as a real estate agent helping families build wealth and as a tennis coach. A lifelong tennis player who competed at NSU, she now shares her love for the game as a coach at BGTC and as a Tennis Pro at Tidewater Tennis Center. When she’s not on the court or helping clients, Brittany enjoys relaxing on her pontoon in Broad Bay or spending time at home with her cat, Pepper.
SAMARA JONES

Samara is a student at Nansemond River High School. She’s in National Honor Society and Beta Club and she enjoys playing tennis in her free time.
VICTORIA MITCHELL

Victoria Mitchell has been a dedicated coach at Black Girls Tennis Club since 2023, bringing her passion for tennis and her commitment to empowering young female athletes. With over 23 years of experience playing tennis recreationally in Virginia Beach, Victoria serves as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Girls Tennis Team at Kellam High School, where she focuses on developing players' skills, sportsmanship, and self-confidence. She has also captained USTA Junior Team Tennis at Old Dominion University, demonstrating her leadership and teamwork abilities.

Caira was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She not only attended the illustrious Hampton University (the real HU), but also played on the Women’s Tennis Team.
